Now is the time!

One more week! Now is the time. We are really working hard in my class studying for the final exams. We came up with a giant study schedule to plan out our time before the final exams. I really love the 888 rule . . . that is, 8 hours of work, 8 hours of life and 8 hours of sleep. It really divides the day up nicely. Anyway, I have calculated that if my students started studying on Monday they have 44 available hours for study before the first final exam. You sure can do a lot with 44 hours. Some of my students are doing some great stuff. One of them is re-reading all of the readings and making summaries of each one. Another one of my students is making a language list of nice phrases she can use from the readings in her essays. I suggested that my students focus on just learning five words per chapter that we studied. That means that they only have to memorize 35 words before the final exams. I'm sure they can do it! I guess the hardest day is going to be on Monday when I suggested they write three practice essay exams in one day. Hard stuff . . . but it is almost all over. It'll be worth it when they pass and they can go to university in September :-)

Good luck everybody!

Scott, you crazy Canadian. This is Jason, the crazy (anti-)American with fond memories of Israel, due largely to you.

Hey, I was thinking about all my favourite people I'd lost touch with, decided to try and track you down, and found yer blog when I googled yer name.

I wanna run for US president (35 now, I can do that). Gonna make the US part of Canada. I need a vice-president (or you can be pres, or we can trade back and forth, we can discuss it). Anyway, I'd prefer a Canadian VP (hey, I'll *make* it constitutional!).

Anyway, e-mail me. I wanna update you on all my adventures and tell you how big that toddler of mine you made laugh in Tel Aviv is getting (9 y.o. next week!).

Oh, and we need to nail down the whole election thing. I say let's make the White House pink...and fuzzy...OK?
